Meet Our Team

Rob Bratcher
Co-Founder

Rob grew up in the Highlands, came of age in the mid-90's, and fell in love with legendary Louisville indie spots like The Great Escape, Ear X Tacy, Better Days Records, and all the other weird, local haunts at a young age.

After sorting boxes at UPS, and pouring beers at Cumberland Brews for a few years, he got into corporate health club management for the next 6 years.

By the time he turned 30, he was fed up with the commercial fitness industry, and wanted to create an independent fitness community that would appeal to folks who don't like normal gyms.

Rob founded BAREFIT Adventure Training in 2013, and built it up into a well known Louisville institution over 10 years. The COVID-19 pandemic led him to explore online health coaching, in order to have some services he could provide during the lockdowns. After working with a couple dozen clients, Rob began to realize that locally based, hybrid health coaching was the most effective fitness service he'd ever been a part of. He was seeing results that were much better, and longer lasting than classes or personal training.

It took a few years to get things in order to make a full-time transition to coaching, but finally he sold the gym and created Wholly Mountain Health & Fitness in the summer of 2024. Now he gets to combine ancient wisdom and modern science to help clients become permanently successful!

In Rob's personal life, he's an Orthodox Christian, husband, and father. He enjoys hiking with his family, reading, basketball, thrift store rummaging, and collecting vintage media (VHS, retro games, vinyl, cassettes).
